grandpa stephen eniatg his plateof food then nibbling on whateverwas left
on the tabledrinking a pale alewhile narrating his dayof chemo and
radiationaround our oak tablememories of grandpa stephenstanding up,
picking up his plateand utensilswalking to doorthrowing them outsidedinner
over grandpa stephenwatches baseball critiquingand coachingeating from the
candy bowlwondering where the treatsdisappearedeven now when the
chairsappear quite emptythey are really quite fullof life with grandpa
stephenplaying his guitaruntil death took his last breath
