Most people think when they hear of Blacklisting that it pertains to high
elite writers, But every sailor in the merchant marine during world war II
was required afetrwards to have his polital ideas examined and these
working class guys were thrown out on their ear. Many union advocates
(thousands) in construction, mining and ordinary work were thrown out with
no way to make a living due to black lists.
