M. Ali,Robert Gates should have paid more attontien to the fact the Soviet
Union won every battle it fought in Afghanistan, but lost the war. Before
Gates talked Obama into sending more than 30,000 more US troops to the
Aghan quagmire. The very presence of US troops is very often part of the
problem, in Muslim countries. The US inadvertently helped to cause the
overthrow of the Shah of Iran, due to the uge military presence (and
civilian presence) related to gigantic Iranian arms purchases from American
defence contractors.
