When i read this poem i thought of "Our Town" the play by Thornton Wilder
in that both of these the dead know something that we humans cant
comprehend ( we mourn and get upset about things that dont really matter) I
believe that this poem refelcts how she feels about her parents and her
childhood with them which i believe was unpleasent to say the least. I
enjoy it because it really makes me think where im putting my heart. best
line: "They refuse/ to be blessed, throat, eye, and knuckle bone."

The Truth The Dead Know
the speaker is trying to mourn, but does not know how to feel.it is trying
to find a way to deal with loss
