Subject of the poem
I thought this poem was a litle confusing, but thought it was about how there can be a really beautiful thing (like the red slippers) but people will pay no attention to these beautiful things right in front of their eyes because of another unique, though not as stunning, thing (like the cardboard lotus bud). That's how I saw it at least, but i have no idea :P

the poem is not complete; it's supposed to be a lot longer. but anyway, its really weird. i really cant find a meaning behind "the red slippers".
