    obviously there have been a lot of wars, and if all wars are the same so is his way of putting that into a poem.

    apparently there was a battle between people of Gog and Magog. either historically they were both lands that fought, or Gog (prince) ruled over the land (Magog), and if people have settled here and changes were made, historically or mythologically, there were tensions
