Analysis and comments on Jewels by Sara Teasdale

Comment 2 of 2, added on November 26th, 2009 at 1:53 PM.

After reading Dickinson, Plath, Poe and so on I am pleased to discover Mrs.
Teasdale. I have never heard of her. Her poems are very lyrical and this
poem is so cool because of the comparison to jewels. Shadows on snow are
indeed bluish just like when you paint a mountain in the distance, it is
never brown.

Though I am finding it difficult to deeply analyze this poem, I think it is
beautiful and well written.
