S Donnelly was seeking Kipling poem
The poem that begins "We were taken from the ore-bed and the mine" is
Rudyard Kipling's "The Secret of the Machines."

I thought itwas fairly good. I was looking for a poem ofthe same name, but
glad I came cross this one. Theother started thus:- We were taken from the
ore bed and the mine.WEWERE MELTED IN THE FURNACE AND THE PIT about 12
verses. however, not knowing how to find it I will settle for this.
