Analysis and comments on Summons by Robert Francis

Comment 2 of 2, added on March 13th, 2009 at 10:58 PM.

I always read this poem as a special enthusiasm between two friends.

When I sent this to my partner she wondered if it might relate to the deep
depressions I had described for her that I have had.

I wonder how others see it.

This has been a favorite of mine for years. This is the way I want to live
my life. I love "sounds" in lines 4 and 5. I lost this poem and just
recently found it through many searches. I can see similarities with
Robert Frost.
