Analysis and comments on Matthew VIII,28 ff. by Richard Wilbur

Comment 1 of 1, added on October 31st, 2012 at 4:20 PM.

Communiqué :
Let it be known to all
Citizens, the tall and the small
That bread and milk shall be free
Butter and meat for each family.
You’ll pay no bill for gas or water
No school fees for son or daughter;
For each household a new car
And a new home, from work, not far,
A clean green park in neighborhood
Books, bikes and toys for the childhood
The elderly shall have a nurse
And none would reach for his purse,
Take trains and buses and pay no fare
For if you do, it shall be unfair,
Fresh air you’ll breathe, pure and clean,
Rubbish in streets shall not be seen,
And all will go on holiday
And never care who will pay;
Your days and nights will be sure
In walks and rides you’re all secure.
Enjoy and pay no contribution;
You’re in the land of revolution.
