As with "All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace", Brautigan seems
prescient with regard to the coming of computers into our daily lives. As
if he knew computers would be so much a part of our everday lives, he
hoped, wished, for the best. A true romantic. And, in this poem, doubly
romantic about the state of education, and about what he hoped would be
taught to children in schools.
