Richard Brautigan - Just Because

Just because
people love your mind,
doesn't mean they
have to have
your body,
too.

Just because

Just because I lived in the Middle East doesnít mean Iím a terrorist.
Just because my father lived in the Middle East doesnít mean Iím a terrorist.
Just because my mother lived in the Middle East doesnít mean Iím a terrorist
Just because I was born in the Middle East doesnít mean Iím a terrorist.
Just because I was Muslim doesnít mean Iím a terrorist.
Just because I am a practicing Muslim doesnít mean Iím a terrorist.
Just because Iím a practicing Muslim from the Middle East doesnít mean Iím a Terrorist.
Just because Iím a practicing Muslim from the Middle East who tends to think Americans are immoral doesnít mean Iím a terrorist.
Just because I wanted the Taliban to take over my old country doesnít mean Iím a terrorist.

Just because my uncle was a member of Al Qaeda doesnít mean Iím a Terrorist.
Just because my Sister wears a Hijab in public, my dad has a beard, and none of you will probably ever see my mother in public, doesnít mean Iím a terrorist.

Just because Iím a terrorist, doesnít mean Iím a Muslim.
