THIS POEM COMING FROM HER HEART I FEEL THAT SHE IS BEING VERY HONEST BUT IN
MY OPINONSHE IS TALKING ABOUT HER SELF IN LIFE IN A RELATIONSHIP B/C NO ONE
CAN MAKE IT OUT OG HERE ALONE IF THEY DO THEY WILL NOT BE HAPPPY SO I WILL
TAKE THIS POEM AND RUN WITH IT BUT TO ALL THE LADIES YOU KNOW THIS IS REAL
FROM HERT HEART MIND BODY AND SOUL. YOU MUST LOVE THAT SOMEONE EWITH THE
SAME THING SO YOU WONT END UP ALONE.

Great poem that is easy for children and adults to read. I loved it so much
that I am going to do my poetry project on Maya Angelou and her wonderful
poem Alone. It is so true about how lonely we can all be at times and how
if you are far from anywhere or anyone else you will have a hard time
surviving and will be VERY sad. I know from experience that this does not
feel good. Keep writing Maya!!!!

I really liked this poem by Maya because it shows and tells the feelings of
lots of people.I think that I am one of those people. All of Maya's poems
are great, but I think that this is one of the best.

I'm sittin' here watching "Poetic Justice" Janet Jackson & Tupac
Shakur,(for the trillionth time), and just now reconizing this poem was in
the beginning of the movie. Always knew you had a small role in the movie
itself but I thought Miss Jackson wrote the poems. Now I know. Much
appreciation from one poet to another.

I have always always loved this poem. It is so true, and so simple in its
being. I feel this keenly, the feeling of alone. I just simply love this
poem.

Thank you for your poem. I do not understand one thing in my life----Why do
I feel so alone and desperate to have someone to really love me, when I do
have someone I am married to, and we say to each other that we love one
another?

The hatefullness of lonliness once set fire to my eyes-
Millions watched, or so i thought, as deep inside i died-
Truth be told i was loved, but still outside i cried-
My inner fears showed in tears, swallowing my pride-
I thought that i would never see a light in all this dark-
And then again lonliness found itself a spark-
So to you who bear, the burden of dark and lonely nights-
Know that you are the truth and that alone is Bright...

Alone, Alone is a very touching poem. It doesn't take a Genious to figure
out what she is talking about. We have the Lord Jesus Christ who is always
and have always been on our side, with us, therefore, we are NEVER ALONE!If
you think you are alone, than you are alone.
