Maya speaks in a tone of pride and confidence in herself which I believe
young black women in South Africa must come to a realization of for the
very survival of our country and it's new identity.

I feel that this is a very inspiring poem.It really relates to me because
people will try and put you down but when ever they try to do that to me I
just think about this poem,"still I Rise."

I reall enjoy reading this poem. It is one of the most inspiring things I
ever read. This poem encouraged me to keep my head up when things go wrong.
It taught me to keep my sense of humor through all the rain and pain.

I tip my hat to Maya - she is an inspiration to everyone. Not only is this
poem moving but her entire career has been incouraging. She is a role model
of stregnth, confidence and good old fashion tenacity.
