Mark Hillringhouse

Mark Hillringhouse (1954 - Present)

Mark Hillringhouse is a poet, essayist, translator, and teacher. He was editor for the New York Arts Journal and founding editor of the American Book Review. He lives in New Jersey, and his poems and articles have appeared in the American Poetry Review, American Poetry, Columbia, Hanging Loose, the Literary Review, the Little Magazine, New American Writing, the New Jersey Monthly, the New York Times Book Review and others. He has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and has won the Chester H. Jones National Poetry Competition, and several fellowships from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. He teaches creative writing and is a member of the National Book Critics’ Circle.
