Analysis and comments on Stalk Me by Maggie Estep

Comment 2 of 2, added on March 22nd, 2006 at 3:19 PM.

There aren’t many raw, funny, and lively poems out there, but this Poem
“Stalk Me” is one the small few. This Poet brings the intense, dramatic
feeling, with a humorous twist that her audience enjoys. In this poem, the
poet is talking about her success and how there is a down fall to it.
However she takes her fears in some ways and turns it to sarcasm. She tells
her stalker to come out and reveal him or her and do the unthinkable in her
case. It showcases her braveness and confidence, not caring what other
people think about her. Maggie Estep leads her “stalker” in this in a
seductive and hypnotizing way that makes this poem electrifying
