She has attained the permanence
She dreamed of, where old stones lie sunning.
Untended stalks blow over her
Even and swift, like young men running.

Always in the heart she loved
Others had lived, — she heard their laughter.
She lies where none has lain before,
Where certainly none will follow after.

Should a wonderful romance not be reciprocated (which is rare – it is always there but perhaps one never looks/feels hard enough), there is hope that after all thoughts and memories are personal to the holder and no one can ever take them away. Even those strong, powerful emotions unreturned you are totally in control of them for you to cherish even to the herafter realms.
