This is a very emotional poem, it gave tears to my eyes.

this is a beautiful poem, we as black mothers are still
feeling pain for our children , we want more for them
we have to continue telling the story of our struggle not to instill hate
,but to build character, strength ,a real sense of pride.
the youth of today are missing a lot of their own family history .when
having family reunions teach
your own family history! i work with the exceptional
children dept, i enjoy doing career days ,selfesteem
workshops. i will probably us this poem . i love poetry
another good poem is "daybreak in alabama"

this poem is very relevant now. it was written in 1931 but it could have
been written yesterday. isn't it strange how we are still struggling after
almost three-quarters of a century?
