Just a comment to the poster "Andrew." Langston Hughes did NOT kill
himself. He died following abdominal surgery.

I know this is an amazing poem... it has helped me alot, but i was thinking
about what some of the comments said, about how langston hughes was a
strong man. well he was, but clearly this poem didnt meen much in the end,
becouse he killed himself. sorry to be brutal but if he never killed
himself i think this poem would be more meeningfull... btw mykee is pritty

In the poem Still Here langston Hughes is trying to say that he is going to
keep up fighting and he is not giving up.

i think this poem is really good because it shows that life is full of
unwanted things and unfortunate occasions and even though we go through all
these things, we're "still here"

I loved the poem and i think the power of mind in Langston cant stop me
think of ever existential of a person, being born, live, and die is the
mark of a persons existence and no matter what that will never diminish
whether subjected to pain, joys, of this world or off down into graves one
remains unique and thatr is an undiniable fact. Each person marks a history
as long as one comes and leaves the face of the Earth. Yap Hughes is simply
a smart Poet i lhave come to enjoy reading!-Augustine
