This poem really let's everyone know that inspite of The economic situation
we are facing, "We are still here" God has something better in store for us
if we just hold on keep the faith, never stop laughin, lovin, and livin. As
long as we can look up, we can get up!!!!! It's a blessing to be here.

Normally I'm not a fan of any pro-/anti- race poetry, but I like this
poem, and it has a meaning to me even though I'm white. It's not specific
in saying "negro" or whatnot, allowing you to interpret it in your own way
and apply it to your own life. I'm sorry to hear that he passed away,
though...

poetry, but this has a meeaning to me even though I'm white, because you
can interpret it your own way and apply it to your own life, rather than
being thrown off by the specificication of "Negro!" and so on.

Just a comment to the poster "Andrew." Langston Hughes did NOT kill
himself. He died following abdominal surgery.
