Acording to The Quiet girl of Hughes he is saying about the girl is found
in his dream who is alive.He tells his feeling righ time in his lonelyness.

There is a different type of beauty in the deep stillness of the dark night
-- Hughes is saying the beauty of this girl is found in her quiet ways.
Only
her eyes betray her shimmering soul. Her "songs" (whether sung aloud or
merely kept in her head -- I
like to think this refers to her personal anthems)form his dreams.
