Night Funeral in Harlem has inspired me to persue my dream as a young
american author. Langston Hughes is one of the most and I quote "ONE OF THE
BEST POETS THAT GOD'S GREEN EARTH HAS EVER SEEN." Not only does he paint a
vivid, beautifuly drawn picture of every event taking place in the poem,
but he also forces his readers to visualize the event as if they were
wathing it take place infront of thier very own eyes. I slute the spirit of
this woderful man. May he rest in peace.

I think that Langston Hughes needs a bit more credit for poems like these.
I am using it for an essay on the Harlem Renaissance. He painted an
incredibly colorful picture of emotions at funerals.
I've recently been through loss, and to find this poem was amazing. I felt
so much better to know that someone else felt the way I did when I went
through the whole funeral process. Thank you to all those who appreciate
this poem and have made it possible to dry the tears of raw emotion.
