Analysis and comments on Finding A Long Gray Hair by Jane Kenyon

Comment 2 of 2, added on April 20th, 2006 at 12:35 AM.

I like this poem because it is kind of short, and it has a meaning to it.
She has lived in that house since forever, and when she finds a grey hair
she knows that once before that 3 other woman have lived in that house.
She is picturing herself becoming old, and one day she wont be there
anymore, her grand kids will.

I love this. It was so powerful and deep, well 2 me anyway. And yet from
being those 2 things it was still so very short.
