This is the most sublime depiction of depression I have ever come across.
I think it takes a personal and intimate understanding of depression (to
have suffered it such as myself) to know and feel what this author is
speaking of. It rings so true, especially the first few lines--and such an
original way of capturing it. And perhaps there are no greater metaphores
than to label depression the "anti-urge", "mutilator of souls" or "unholy
ghost". It is all of these things and more.
