Hayden Carruth

Hayden Carruth (1921 - Present)


Hayden Carruth was born on August 3, 1921, in Waterbury, Connecticut, and for many years lived in northern Vermont. He has published 30 books, chiefly of poetry but also including a novel, four books of criticism and two anthologies. His most recent book is Reluctantly: Autobiographical Essays (1998).
