I believe that this poem is about a person who's child is very much in
trouble or ill, so they pray to God with all their heart to save their
child. But, I beleive that their prayers so far have been left unanswered
and they have become bitter. so now they roam around trying to believe that
since he has not answered their prayers they decide that there mustn't be a
God. But the person still wants to believe that maybe there is a God and
that he will help the child.
