Why would senmooe feel for light switches if they do not intend to turn on
the lights? Though the poem is offered by the speaker as an introduction to
poetry, I can’t help but feel that Collins intends a larger and more
diverse audience than students?

Unsure about this poem

This one still gives me pause, after all these years, which I suppose is a
testament to its resonance. But why does there seem to me a bit of laughter
at Buddha? Ah well, he had written a gently satirical poem about his dead
parents as well.
