The river said to me:
” Don’t listen to the people ”
they soiled all my reflections,
built by the wholesome cities,
the dams and the squalid bridges
above the natural clarities,
the river said to me:
” Do not listen to the people
” I have secrets and millenniums
which know birds and fishes
about the silvery dreams,
I shall say to you the spring
of all which breathes,
of what flows in me,
the madness of the nights
and the salmons who come to spawn in my waters,
the river said to me:
” Do not listen to the people.”
” they don’t know what they do,
neither of what they think,
nor what amazes them “,
” I know the clarity, the sky and the love ”
said to me the river.
” Do not listen to the people,
they don’t understand
that heaven ignores them”.

Hello Nitish I am so glad you commented with such indulgence and admiration, I am honoured by your full comment, I wish you could read in french the poem, because the draft was in french and sounds better this way…..
best wishes

Hi yann, we certainly see eye to eye on on the environment and Nitish is right, this is a thoughtful and deep poem.
