I don’t want to be clever,
I would have to keep in books
or teach mathematics in college,
I don’t want to be clever,
I would have to listen scholars
or make theory about poetry,
to select high IQ rather than flowers,
rather than talk with friends
about fancy restaurants or NHL,
I don’t want to be clever,
I would have to resolve equations
until midnight without you,
I just like the way I am,
fooling around in my little mind
without boring or despising people,
I don’t want to be clever than me,
Hey I know what you think, I’m not stupid either,
I prefer to have faithful friends.
