IRAQ OCCUPATION LONG TERM (Essay) by rayluc

“Iraq war is largely about oil”
Alan Greenspan

• Oil fields in Iraq secured
• Permanent military bases built
• Oil contracts signed
• Puppet leaders in place
• Mercenary police

Everything is in place for long term occupation, except full disclosure to the American people. Ironically the rest of the world seems to know the truth, as to why the United States invaded Iraq.

Make no mistake about it, every candidate knows that the occupation will go on for years to come. They may talk about getting out but the reality is that they are committed to stay until every gallon of oil is pumped out of the ground. They know the use of fossil fuel is a short-term solution to a long-term problem, but are hamstrung by the auto and oil industry. No matter who next occupies the White House, it will be business as usual in the Middle East.

No real effort is being made to significantly reduce oil dependence in the United States. When one considers the past creative genius of science and technology, there’s no real reason this energy problem cannot be resolved in a relatively short period of time.

To date, the Bush regime has made unsuccessful attempts to provoke or find sufficient reason to invade the next oil rich country, Iran. Aggression without diplomacy is Bush’s prime directive as he continues to search for an excuse to invade.

Corporate controlled media is guilty of jaded reporting regarding the “Oil for blood” issue. They’ve done much to keep the general public in fear of terrorism, oil shortage and a failing economy.

When one considers a cost close to one trillion dollars for prosecuting a war and occupation of Iraq it boggles the mind. Think about what that amount of money could do for our infrastructure and well being of American people. It could mean health care for all, refurbished and new schools, end of poverty and homelessness and so much more.

The United States has taken its military power to an extreme by manufacturing and distributing weapons all over the world. Consider the recent 20 billion arms deal with Saudi Arabia. This is just one of many arms deals.

How many Sons and Daughters are American Mothers and Fathers willing to sacrifice for oil?

The economic salvation of the United States will come about when we actually start producing our own products again. When we put American people back to work for fair wages and we quit destructive “Out sourcing” by greedy companies, we will see a drastic improvement in the economy. We must move from being paper shufflers to a country that actually produce goods and services to trade to an eager world.

As Americans our best course of action is to stay informed, not settle for illegal activities by our government and to hold wrong doers account for actions contrary to the will of the people. For concerned citizens to restore the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and to live by these documents for the betterment of all.

Peace,

ROTMS
