Soon, WoW players will be introduced to the island, Pandaria which is featured in the Mists of Pandaria expansion pack. As with all of the World of Warcraft expansions packs, there are many new features to look forward to. Mists of Pandaria takes players through new leveling zones, raids, dungeons and a new storyline which includes the Pandaren race.
Play As a New Race
The first thing people will notice about this expansion pack is that the world inside of it is dominated by a new race called Pandarens. These walking Pandas are the focal point of the expansion pack. The Pandarens have racial traits that emphasize how much they love to eat, and how peaceful in nature they can be. These creatures can be docile and playful one moment, and aggressive and violent the next, so their peaceful nature is also a cover for their enormous strength.
Unlock a New Class
In the Mists of Pandaria expansion, there is a new class available that allows a person to become a monk. In most societies monks are docile people, but in the world of Pandaria, monks are martial arts masters. The monks in the world of Pandaria excel at hand-to-hand combat, and generally they do not need to use a weapon during a fight to incapacitate an opponent. On the rare occasion when a monk has to use a weapon, it is only to deliver a lethal blow to an opponent. Monks have the ability to heal and sooth the minds of other individuals, and their complete control over their bodies makes them highly resistant to physical pain.
A New Challenge Mode
The challenges have always been an exciting part of World of Warcraft, and Mist of Pandaria comes with a new challenge for people to compete against other people with. In this WoW world, before a person enters a dungeon, they can choose to take on the challenge mode. If a person selects challenge mode before entering a dungeon, the time it takes for them to complete the dungeon will be timed. The object of this challenge is to complete a dungeon mission as quickly as possible. The faster a dungeon is completed, the more rewards people get. To make this challenge equal for everybody, if a person selects challenge mode before entering a dungeon, all of their gear is returned to normal, and they will only be able to use gear that is appropriate for the dungeon they are entering.
New Vanity Pet Battle System
Previously, in the WoW games, people could have vanity pets. These pets did not serve any real function inside of the games. In Mists of Pandaria, this has changed. Vanity pets can now be used to fight other vanity pets, and just like players in the World of Warcraft, they can be taught abilities, and they can learn different attacks. Vanity pets in Mists of Pandaria can also gain experience from winning battles, and if they gain enough experience, they can level up and use more abilities.
New Bosses and Enemies
A new World of Warcraft expansion pack would not be complete without new bosses and enemies. In the Mist of Pandaria expansion pack, players will find many new enemies to fight. To defeat these enemies, players will have to learn new techniques. Each new enemy in this expansion pack has their own unique traits, and players will have to figure them out in order to stay alive.
