Living in a maze, whispering to the dark
Hoping, praying, waiting for a spark
Surrounded by people, but always alone
Sitting restless on my throne

Suffering and shivering, I’m just so cold
Hard to believe I counted on the lies you sold
Mistakenly suspecting man’s friend to deliver
Disgusted by mankind, now I shiver

I’m replaceable, I’m deaf and I’m blind
Insane but gifted with a beautiful mind
All achieved knowledge seems to be in vain
Still there’s just so much for me here to gain

Walking in circles, never take a moment to stand still
I trust in God, His kingdom and in His will
Starving for recognition, my heart so hollow
He will enlighten the path I intend to follow

At the end of the day when I lay myself to rest
I accept that I can only do what I can; my best
Full of trust I lay my faith in His hands above
To guide me to the one I truly love
