(to Alex Noyd)

Thousand years they seem a second
Where the living touch cold stone
And in secret places hidden
Are treasures which were never shown.

Stormy dreams become one nightmare
Which hunts my tyrant by the day
I´m restless, frightened, without shelter
And though - i still refuse to pray.

Empty eyes keep telling me
Of your infidelity:
Stranger, lie down next to me
Let peace be our companion — finally.

Lisz, I noticed in the third line of the first stanza that you used “an” but perhaps you intended to say “and”. Also the spelling of tyrant in the second line of the second stanza. I noticed that your profile is blank, and if you do not want these kind of observations, please advise and I won’t do it in the future.

Best wishes, and welcome to the site!

I thank you very much for your observations! There is always something to learn! ;-)

Thanks for replying, Lisz. I try to walk carefully with measured steps, as I do not want to intrude. I am an old pedantic type, but I also need correcting now and then. I hope to see more of your wonderful poetry.

    Highest regards,

Odysseus is lost again… this time in kazhakstan.
