For years
they sailed
the stormy seas
of matrimony
like two ships
that pass in the night.
Nothing in common…
but children.
A Flying Dutchman,
empty and lost,
searching for a port.
Any port in the storm.

A very sad poem, Ida—”Nothing in common/but children.” I can understand the allusion to Wagner’s “Flying Dutchman.” The story music makes me relate to the notion of “Any port in a storm.”
