The Inheritance of Gain

In armed safety,
I’ve come thus far in your
journey, now I’ll take you
on mine.

Mirrored lakes, our eyes,
I look at you & recognize
myself, as you pick me up
do you see yourself?

Encircled in our empire
of love, you handed your
crown & scepter to mom,
the same hands, the same
loving fingers, through
centuries - passes on.

We make each other,
both great & grand-
mother & daughter,
in this eternal kingdom,
there is no loss – only:
the inheritance of gain.

ida - this is my humble offering - for the great-grand-occasion!

i’d been toying with this for a little while - couldn’t seem to get it right - so i didnt post it earlier.

wanted to keep it simple - i knew what i wanted to express in my mind - but the words were not coming right.

I hope it sounds ok now & i do hope you like it.

  2. Ida Werrett Says:

What a wonderful gift, Clematis. Such beautiful thoughts, I am going to have this done up in a nice frame
with a picture my daughter took of me and the baby. A keepsake. Thank you so much.
    Love, Ida

Magnificent, clematis, both touching and humbling, and of the artistry we’ve become to expect from you. This is a wonderful tribute befitting its eternal meaning.
