No Linking Allowed!
No Linking Allowed!
Yesterday, Syfy gave us the first official trailer for their upcoming new series Defiance. Before that sci-fi drama makes its debut next spring, Syfy will bring Being Human back for its third season. The premiere date for the not-exactly-sci-fi but thoroughly entertaining drama (and remake) has been set for mid-January.
Being Human is based on a British series and follows a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost that live together and are trying to deal with their beastly (or ghostly) urges in an attempt to live human lives. When the second season left off, Sally, Josh and Aidan were all in varying states of crisis, as Aidan was buried alive (or undead), Josh and Nora were facing off against Ray and Sally was stuck in limbo. Will they be able to get each other out of these jams? We’ll find out January 14, which is when Syfy has the show set to return for Season 3, which will consist of thirteen episodes. The series will be back on Monday nights at 9:00 p.m.
In addition to the premiere date, Syfy announced that Kristen Hager has been promoted to series regular, which hopefully means we’ll find Nora in once piece when the show returns.
And set to return (in some form or another) next season is Mark Pellegrino, who played Aidan’s vampire mentor Bishop. Considering it’s just a guest spot, it might be too much to hope for some kind of resurrection for Bishop. No Linking Allowed! Probably a flashback or something along those lines (maybe Aidan will hallucinate him while he’s buried). Either way, it’ll be great to see him back on the show. He isn’t the only guest star either…
The new season also features a stellar lineup of new and returning guest stars including:
Mark Pellegrino (Lost, Revolution) as Aidan’s vampire mentor Bishop; Amy Aquino (Harry’s Law, ER) as Donna, a witch whose supernatural spells are sought out to help find Sally; Xander Berkeley (Nikita) as Liam, father of purebred werewolf twins who is intent on locating his missing children; Bobby Campo (Final Destination) as Max, a young mortician who develops a connection with Sally; and Kyle Schmid (Copper/The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) returning as Aidan’s vampire protégé/”son” Henry.
