Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - More than meets the eye
Superficially this move seems, well, superficial. But it's really not. On my third viewing I found three things I never noticed before. One must pay attention.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - overshadowed and overlooked
This movie came out during a rush of psyc-thrillers and other movies that post alternative ways of thinking (i.e. Vanilla Sky, Dangerous Minds). Because of those other big name blockbusters this great move has been left to die. It presents a modern adaptation of Sir Thomas Moore's Utopia. It takes the main character through physical places that represent certian ideas of how life should be by diffrent kinds of people.

I love it!

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Great story if only the language was cleaner.
YIKES.. Saw this on TV a while back and there was no cussing. Bought the DVD and wow, it was filled with it....way too much. But the story was very creative and would be a great family film if the language was cleaner. Clean language would've earned a 5 star rating.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - for your film library
If you enjoyed Defending Your Life or Family Man here is another fantasy you will love. Gary Oldman and Christopher Lloyd are at their bizarre best, and Chris Cooper is wonderful as the man on a mission. In fact, the whole cast is great, including a very likeable hero and heroine. Intelligent script and tons of human interaction, the kind of movie I wanted to own so that I could watch it again and again.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Sleeper worth seeing!
I ran across this in a hotel room after a grueling 12 hour meeting, but could not sleep. This is the best way to find this movie, or by last resort at the Video store with low or no expectations.

If you can get past the silly smile on the title characters face the entire movie, the story and plot are great, and one of theose movies that you just cna't stop watching, I would call it a B-Movie but with a character that makes it a true pleasure to see.

I must say it is well worth watching, it is a movie of the type where the best parts are in your own mind and the movie just nudges your imagination along.

I was surprized, rivited and can't believe it went to DVD without even a try in the theater, but I think like one review here said, it is a movie you must discover, it does not jump out at you and I think that adds to it's value. The plot is well covered in other reviews here so I'll just leave it at my impression. After seeing it I actually bought here in Amazon, it was well worthy of adding to my odd movie collection.
