Rating: - great snowshoes
These are great little snow shoes, the floatability of them is fantastic. I weigh about 220, with gear, probably 230 and they performed great!
Rating: - Not reliable
A plastic retaining clip broke the first time I used the shoes in the outdoors. Temp around 30 oF (0 oC). Not recommended.
Rating: - Easy on and off
Three simple straps make a snug fit over toes and around the heel. Just pull to tighten and lift the buckle tabs to loosen. They come off easier than they go on. The ice-gripping teeth are well-placed (right in the middle)and very effective on glare ice. Pretty durably built, too. A good deal for the price.
Rating: - Do the job!
I bought these for my husband for Christmas, but he really needed them when we spent the holiday at our cottage in Northern New York State on the Canadian-US border.
That area had received significant snowfall just prior to our arrival but getting into our property and also around the grounds made it so much easier with these practical snowshoes.
We give them our highest endorsement!
Rating: - Changed my outlook on snow!
I went snowshoeing with a friend this winter and loved how i was still able to hike and be outside with snow on the ground. Walking in snow is so much easier (on the ankles and feet) with these one. Since receiving them, i wore them every day to the dog park walking my dog. Even in just a few inches of crusty snow, they make my walks so much easier. They are light and easily come on and off. If you're a serious snowshoer, you probably want something more high tech. If you're just a leisure walker who has to trudge through snow in the winter, i'd highly recommend these!
