Rating:  - Non-drying, perfect color and coverage!
I'm getting married next year and just bought several new cosmetics to try them out, one of them being NARS lipstick in Belle du Jour. I absolutely love it. It is the perfect shade by itself to get that totally nude lip look that is so popular (especially when paired with a very dark, dramatic eye). Coupled with a peachy or pink gloss, the look is natural and beautiful. My lips are very sensitive and dry our extremely easily. I wore this lipstick last night and not only did it stay on, but it didn't dry my lips at all... in fact, it feels deliciously moist on my mouth! The price tag is admittedly a little steep, but you pay more for quality, and this NARS lipstick is no exception.

This is a gorgeous, sheer color that should complement any skin tone. I have butterscotch-colored hair with medium-pale skin with a fair amount of pink in it, and this warm berry enhances my natural lip color. The texture is soft and smooth, never sticky or drying. I wear it like lip balm and carry one with me all the time. I also wear NARS Mongolian Red, a semi-matte warm cinnamon red, and Kink, a red with a little more pigment and impact. Too bad both are discontinued. (All look beautiful over NARS Amazon, Borneo, and Papua lip liners.) Next I shall try Vera Cruz, a sheer cinnamon.
These lipsticks not only feel fabulous and have great staying power, they are rated quite safe by the Environmental Workgroup.

I have olive skin, and love the Red Lizard, Captiva (more brown deep purple) and Scarlett Empress...
Rating:  - Review for Honolulu Honey
I was rather reluctant to spend more than $20 for a lipstick, but after reading the good reviews, I decided to try it. Honolulu Honey reminds me of an older Estee Lauder lipstick shade named "Nude". H. Honey is a light beige, sheer matte that looks washed out on my fair skin. It would best suit someone with my coloring and light brown hair to save it for the beach when a nude shade would be just right. The lipstick itself is very luxurious and moist. It has no flavor at all. I will probably try this brand in another color, something in the pink shade.

I bought this lipstick in Kiss based on the swatch shown on the Amazon.com page. When I got the lipstick, the color was far different from the swatch and didn't match my skintone at all. At sephora.com they have color descriptions which gives you a better idea of what the color is really like. I ended up returning it and getting this in Roman Holiday which looks great, and again very different from the swatch above.
