Anyone who grew up in the 60's/70's has to remember The Herculoids! This is one of Hanna & Barbera's best cartoon series and it is still in DVD limbo! The animation and stories were first rate and what a cool assortment of superheroes. A dragon that fires lasers from it's eyes and tail, a giant rock skinned ape, two shape-shifting blobs and a triceratops(with six legs!) that shoots molten rocks from it's horns!... and of course our family of sword wielding humanoids. This is a great example of 60's animation and yet we have been deprived of a long awaited DVD release Please somebody get this series out of DVD!

There are six episodes on the VHS:
The Pirates: Young Dorno's taken prisoner by pirates so they can repair their ship.
Sarko, The Arkman: Igoo (the huge stone man) & Dorno are taken to a strange planet for evil experiments.
The Pod Creatures: Pod Creatures try to take over the Herculoid's planet & destroy all life.
Mekkor: Ingeniously evil Mekkor secures outposts on the jungle planet in order to subdue it.
The Beaked People: Friendly flying monkeys are enslaved by Krokar, a villian from the dark side of the planet.
The Raiders: Enemy One Eye kidnaps the beautiful Tara and holds her for ransom.
Takes you right back to Saturday mornings sitting on the floor in pajamas by the light of the TV, scooping up spoonfuls of your favorite cereal.

I have been a Herculoids fan since I first saw it on Saturday morning tv, and I still love it at the age of 52. Unfortunately, I am an American living in Scotland and can't play the VHS tape. So, I am *praying* that the Herculoids will be released on dvd. Please!!! I agree with those who say this would be a best seller.

My #1 favorite Hanna Barbera series. Great sci-fi action theme and wonderful characters. Definately worth a purchase if they a complete DVD set is released.
