Porter-Cable never disappoints, especially with their air tools. Here's a great nailer for the contractor or do-it-yourselfer in the Southeast, Gulf Coast and Western regions with its 22-degree plastic collated round head framing nails from 2 to 3-1/2 inches long. We like the new rounded body style on the nailer, which Porter-Cable says has doubled the tool's life, and we can tell you it feels right in the hand. It's still packing plenty of power, even though it's more compact. As always, we're fond of its tool-free adjustable exhaust, tool-free adjustable depth of drive with detents, and an internal piston catch for consistent power. I am a weekend warrior, not a pro. However after using this tool for 3 weekends while constructing a shed it has proven itself to be efficient and reliable. I set the regulator on the compressor to 100 psi and I got consistent results with even depth of driven nails. I have a 4.5 Gallon, 1.8 HP, 150 psi Ridgid compressor that cycles on when the pressure drops between 100 and 110 psi and it had no problem keeping up with me.

This nailer works great. It is a bit slower at the trigger that I'm used to but overall, great gun. I just used it to frame a new home for a client.

Fantastic tool, saves a ton of time and labor. Easy to use, works perfectly on a 150max psi pancake compressor (gauged to 115psi). Easily drives 3" nails into wood for framing and general construction work. Be sure to use oil at each use (just a couple of drops). Drove hundreds of nails in a few hours...try doing that with a hammer! Great product, solidly built, easy to load and clear.

My only complaint so far is the rubber tip, which does not stay in place very well. This gun has no problem driving 3.5" nails. Don't believe the previous reviewer who had problems with 3" nails. His compressor says Fisher-Price.
