Franco Zefirelli makes here an astonishing film adaptation of Leocavallo`s famed opera. Though using scenarios sometimes, the settings are convincing and give another dimension to what was to be carried out in an opera stage. The production surely adds to the musical quality. In relation to this, Domingo is superb. Pagliacci is, no doubt, one of his best roles and he is in a great form.
