This book is simply fascinating! I don't know why more people haven't read it, but if you are history buff like me, or like a good adventure story (or both) than you will really love this book. So many great anecdotes (from meeting a group in Jerusalem that adheres to ancient traditions of Christianity, to losing his teeth en route do to malnutrition and lack of clean water, to the amazing nirvana he feels upon reaching his ultimate destination!)
