Rating: - Cool little teapot
I would have preferred a more traditional styled teapot, but chose to get this one instead. That's why I gave it 4 stars--because I think it's a little odd looking compared to 'typical' teapots. Still, it's cozy, quaint, and boils water fine! :) Good buy for a good price.
Rating: - NOT MADE IN FRANCE BUT THAILAND
I love Le Creuset and thought I was getting a high-quality product made in France. No where did it say it was made in Thailand when I ordered it. But on the box when it was delivered, it did. Very disappointed. I cook my food in these dishes and want to know what I'm adding to it. Le Creuset makes this very hard to discover when buying online.
Rating: - It melted off!
I thought the tea kettle was amazing for the first few weeks until one day I was waiting for the water to boil and I heard a clunk on the stovetop. I look over to find the whistler blower had melted and fallen off and left the hard goo-ey stuff inside the kettle and on the stove top. I go to pick it up by the handle, and the plastic by the hindge part had melted also so when I picked it up it all fell apart. I'm not sure why it happened but it was very sad.
Rating: - Literally stinks
The kettle looks beautiful, but what's the point when it stinks? Everytime I boil water in this a horrible stench emanates from the kettle. It's not the water, our water's not that bad where I am and my old kettle never put up such a smell. It might be the paint on the kettle, there might be some kind of chemical residue, whatever it is, the kettle is unusable.
I would not recommend this to anyone unless they just wanted a really pretty dust collector.
Rating: - Not made in France. . .
Not worth the price. Amazon, country where made would be quite helpful with some of these items.
