I originally purchased this item for my almost 7-year old who was having issues falling asleep at night. He insisted on leaving the lights up high at bedtime because he was afraid and had problems winding down at night. He claimed his brain would start thinking about scarey things when he tried to go to bed and prefered to 'read' himself to sleep with the lights on. This resulted in a way too late bedtime! We finally decided we had to find a way to make 'lights out time' fun. This did the trick. ... Read More

My parents bought this for my son as a Christmas present and it wins the award as best gift. Now our son, age 4, actually asks to go to bed so he can see his stars. Plus...his younger sister, age 2 1/2, wants one when she moves into a big girl bed. It's incredible. They even play with it under the covers to "make a tent and see the stars" both before bedtime and in the morning.
