Product Description: Our Troy Drywall Lift is made from an all welded steel construction, tool-free assembly and teardown, single stage winch with brake, and can be used by one person. It has a 11' maximum reach for horizontal ceilings, and 15' maximum reach for walls (determined by the 11' max lift and half the length of drywall). It can hold a 4' x 16' single sheet capacity, with a 150 lbs load rating, has 5' casters, and weighs 110lbs. MaxTool also backs up this lift with a Two Year Warranty for parts or factory defects.

Rating: - Works as Described - Handy Tool
The Troy drywall lift works great. Assembly is pretty easy, really did not need the instructions. The lift allows me to install drywall on 9 foot ceilings in my home without assistance. I have not tried any wall installation yet but I think it will work fine.

I have hung my fair share of drywall and over the years have used several different models of hoists, most of them MUCH more expensive than this one and none of them do the job any better. Most recently I spent $[...]/day renting a hoist that was on its last legs and decided to just buy one. After doing the research, I couldn't justify spending 10 times (or more) than I spent on this one. I am a painting contractor, not a professional drywall installer. But I do maybe one or two small drywall jobs a year. Previously, I would have to spend $30/day to rent a lift. The local rental store near my place closed, so I was forced to look at purchasing a drywall lift. I once looked at picking one up a little while back, but they all ran about $700.
