Linksys CM100 Cable Modem with USB and Ethernet ConnectionsI bought this item because my cable company was charging me monthly for theres...it cost over 8 years $700.00 to rent this..now that I own my own it will save me big bucks in the future. This is a great item, easily setup and works like a charm. I would suggest this; especially if you rent one from your cable company.
Rating: - Fast, small and works out of the box
My motorola modem suddenly died. Bought this as a replacement. Worked out of the box and setup with Comcast was less than 5 minutes. I did not even need to speak to a technical support.
Highly recommended.

works perfect , replaced a d-link DCM-202 modem it uploaded at slow speed of 336kbps up and this new linksys cm100 uploaded at speed of 1468 kbps ,no joke this modem was worth every penny!
Rating: - A great, dependable modem
My Motorola Surfboard would come and go. It was not dependable. So I trotted down to OfficeMax and bought this Linksys modem. It was a snap it install. No software needed unless you use it with USB, which I don't.
I called Cox and gave them the numbers off the box and was online fast. No more being knocked off when I least expect it. In fact, I haven't been knocked off at all.
This is a great modem. I use it with a Linksys N router and Cox Communications.
