Rating:  - a good choice for Weber Grills
So this is exactly what you'd expect it to be. Stainless Steel and does a good job of holding things that are larger than the openings in it.
Importantly, why to get this for a Weber Grill over more generic ones that I've also purchased. It actually fits under the secondary grate. Other ones I've used don't fit under the secondary rack so you end up having to take it off in order to use the basket. Rating: - Works Great
I've used this many times for the past two summers and it is great for grilling vegetables. Usually we put in some squash, zucchini, onions, asparagus, and mushrooms. Have not noticed any metallic taste and we do not keep it shiny clean. It has turned black and brown in places due to the food browning. We wash with soap and water and use it again kinda like we would a skillet.
Rating:  - Made my veggies taste like aluminum
I have only used it twice with the same results. Yes, I washed it thoroughly before using.
Rating: - impossible to clean
this basket does not do a good job of cooking vegetables and is nearly impossible to clean.
I am returning it.
