Rating:  - OVERPRICED PIECE OF PLASTIC JUNK. DOESN'T WORK AND IS UNSAFE.
Upon reading other reviews I placed order for this unit. When it arrived I was dismayed at what you get for this money. Upon using I became more dismayed as the unit is almost impossible to use. The food drags on the slide. Using the holder helps move the food but it only cuts about half way down and then you are left with the other half to cut by hand with a knife and cutting board. Kind of defeats the purpose. Plastic is flimsy and distorts when food is pushed through causing irregular cuts. For ... Read More

I had the original V-slicer, but the ex-wife took it. I shopped around for a replacement, but could not find anything that really would replace my V-slicer - but this. It is almost Identical to the V, but has a slightly less sturdy frame - unless you put it on the included holder. Then, it works like the original (which gets excellent reviews) but has a place to catch the food and associated juices.
