I bought this for my mother and had it shipped directly to her. I've never seen it myself, but she says it enables her to read books with standard sized print, which was the goal. Previously, she could only read large print books. She claims that it actually does gather ambient light and serve to illuminate the lines she is reading as she slides it down the page. Based on her evaluation, I give it 5 stars.
